I am a database architect slash web developer. I have over 10 years of experience in the fields, the last 8 working for HKXpat.com Ltd. which is based in Hong Kong. My primary role is developing their web application, but I also consult.
I’ve recently moved to Ottawa, Ontario. It’s a pretty cool city. I’m living in centretown, near the edge of it in a newly renovated building.
My primary hobbies are mountain biking (trail and downhill), snowboarding and photography. I shoot with a Pentax K10D body, using a kit with a focal length of 10 - 200mm. My first camera was a Fuji S20Pro, which I sold to a friend. I upgraded to a Pentax *ist DL dslr which was amazing for the time. The performance and size was impressive for the price. After a year or so of using it, I decided to change the focus screen; but I screwed up and ended up ordering a K10D body because I didn’t want to spend more money on the DL. I’m very glad I upgraded, the K10d is an amazing camera.
I also have a reef aquarium. In mid October’07 I upgraded tanks and moved a maturing system over.
