Jen and I went for a walk around the “mountain” on the weekend. I brought my camera and DA* 50-135mm lens, and some food Jen had put in my pack. I’m thankful we had the food, it was needed by the time we got to the main look out areas.
The views were spectacular. I put some landscape photos into my gallery. I’m looking forward to more landscape photos as the seasons change, the trees are very colorful.
Today marks the beginning of an exciting new photoblog from the inspirational Ottawa photographer, Jennifer Rouselle. Jenergize.com is her spot on the internet, which will be showcasing some of her best works. Be sure to watch the website, or consume the feeds; there’s going to be some amazing pictures.
Or is it a truck? It’s max load was 3000kg, it had tiny wheels and somehow I found it charming. Maybe because it looks like it should be in a Pixar movie?
Today we rolled out the new ‘look’ for avoidwork.com.
Sean Hreha sent the final revision of the new avoidwork logo yesterday, and today it’s online! He did an excellent job, and to reflect the subtle changes of the logo I’ve updated the website.
I was treated to an amazing dinner with dessert two days in a roll. Both were vegetarian, but I wouldn’t have known if I wasn’t privy to the ingredients.
The first was a tuscan seasoned ‘chicken breast’, green beans, carrots and possibly the best oven roasted potatoes I’ve ever had. All the herbs and vegetables were fresh from the Byward Market (purchased that day while I was downhilling).
The second was penne with a slightly spicy ‘meat’ sauce, and garlic bread made with garlic infused cheese we got from St. Albert a few weeks ago.
I’m not sure what the dessert was, but it involved a small sponge cake, Areo chocolate ice-cream, chocolate whip cream and a (market fresh) strawberry reduction/sauce.
Easily the best meals I’ve eaten at home. No pictures this time, I was too busy clearing my plates.
I decided it was time avoidwork inc. got a proper logo. After a couple of weeks of random browsing and checking out suggested services, I decided to contact a designer I knew from a few web forums. In roughly 2 weeks I should have something awesome; looking forward to it.
The talented Sean Hreha has been hired.
