Dunn’s Famous Deli on Elgin has an amazing burger and great fries.
I saw this excellent documentary lastnight with Jen at a cool old threate with good sound. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more; the film is excellent and the setting was perfect.
I picked up a desjardin sailfin tang today, when I was out to get a new hydor pump and a black background for the aquarium. The fish is a juvenile, so I should have it for years before it needs a bigger tank.
The animation style for this new episode is fantastic. An espada resurrection form vs a vizard. If you don’t watch the series, none of this makes sense.
I picked up a Pro-Tec Ace SXP in black with the zombie graphics. It’s a great fit.
Abby is too cute. Merideth, her older sis totally remembered me from Christmas. It was a nice surprise, considering her age and we’ve only met once. I guess I made a good impression on my young cous.
In June I’m going to a monster truck event with Jen. We have pretty good seats. I’m going to bring my camera.

Last night I went on the hunt for a vaporizer. My weed smoking days are ending, and when I do get high I’d like to cut out the carbon; to save my lungs for sports/gym. The maiden run was not good; the element seemed to take forever to heat up. The second attempt seemed to work much better. I was able to get a good mist, Jen wasn’t having the same luck.
The closest headshop is by far the best I’ve ever stepped in. It’s like something out of a movie. Small, packed full of cool shit and some interesting characters behind the counter.
Last night after work I picked up Jen and went and grabbed some items I needed (light, misc things). I’m down to needing some kind of drapes. I’m guessing I’ll just be getting a set from Ikea unless I find a nice set somewhere else.
I need to repair my tube amp. The input selection switch was damaged in the move; it snapped off. Right now, it’s being used just for my comp in my bedroom, but I have my tube cd player hooked up to it; so I need to repair it. It should be a simple fix, just a little de-soldering, put in new switch and solder the new one in place. I’ll get around to this eventually.
I’m going to try to run my projector in this apartment. The room width it’s going in is just short of the required space for me to get full screen on the 108″ screen. I can deal with a slight border of gray. I need to pick up some drywall plugs, a level and put up the shelf the projector is going on.
