I found out yesterday that my Samsung 215tw uses an S-PVA panel which is great! I just used the Vista compatible manual calibration software which Samsung provides for free and I definitely think it worked well. It didn’t create a new color profile, just helped tweak the contrast properly.
Today I found a Truvativ Holzfeller crankset with a Howitzer bottom bracket included for free at an unbelievable price, so I bought a pair ’cause there was 3 total.
I also found a Sram PG970 cassette at a good price, so the only thing left is probably a new headset.
The new desk came in. It’s pretty sweet. My floor is not level in the area I have the desk, so it’s created this odd tilted look because my monitor is tilted level. Anyways, next day delivery from Staples is pretty sweet, the desk also doubled in price after I ordered it. Yay timing!
Pics will follow when the other stuff comes in; should be about a week.

I went with this compact workstation after moving the Cayin amp back to the living room. I’m getting a new mouse / keyboard combo which will help cut down on cables as well as make Skype more enjoyable for work. My new speakers are going to be Creative Gigaworks T20. I wanted a good quality, small 2.0 speaker system.
Yesterday after disabling Crossfire to use a spare monitor, the Catalyst Control decided it didn’t want to run. This basically gimped the control of my hardware. A little cursing and $40 later I had things going better than before.
I purchased a copy of Registry Mechanic because I knew removing ATI drivers is always messy. I downloaded a copy of Driver Cleaner Pro, the new beta drivers from ATI (7.3) and I had things in fine working order.
Nifkin’s baby is drawing in more peeps from the various design clique forums and it’s a great Yay replacement; except his host seems weak. Timeouts suck.
I got a hold of an old friend lastnight; Dave. I met him after his shift at the bar/restaurant he works at. We had a drink, and talked a little before going to Chris’ place where we got pretty wasted. Drinking with old friends is the best way to spend a night.
Dave was in Alberta planting trees with one of Maegan’s friends; John. He’s planning on going back this summer as the cook. I know John from a corner store I lived beside, he was a clerk along with Dave.
I’m definitely not going to be meeting Shane at the skate park today. I doubt I’ll be riding my bike tomorrow either.
I am supposed to meet Shane at the local skate park tomorrow for a photo session, but the forecast has turned to rain all day with sun on Sunday.
I might spend the day doing taxes and playing video games. I was really looking forward to seeing what Shane’s got in his bag of tricks now.
My new set of Magura Louise FR brakes and my Sram X7 shifters and derailleur arrived about a week before I was expecting them. The only thing left to come in is the tires.
I still need to figure out what I’m going to do for cranks.
