My overclocked machine got a 5.2. I was hoping for a little more, but this is fine. It’s pretty sweet with good hardware.
I installed vista ultimate this weekend and after a few hiccups I think I like it. The animations are nice, I know I’d miss them in XP. Gaming isn’t so bad, the video card drivers appear to be better with v7.2 (vista support).
The network appears to be fast, which is a welcome change.
Went with Chris to Jackpine (Laurentian Ski Hill) for the afternoon. The hill is small, but turned out to be much fun. I went off the trails a few times, Chris did once for the last run. We ended up going down the whole hill thru the bush.
I think I’ll take Maegan there for her next ride.
I also sliced a large peice out of the top of a kid’s snowboard around mid afternoon. He was standing in the unloading area for the lift. I had to hop over his board, which I sorta did. I don’t think he noticed right away, but I apologized.
They break far too easily when you’re trying to cut out a section without some kind of rotary tool. Score, score, score … score some more and then BAM like Batman punching you in the gut; it breaks. It just snaps right in half.

It plays like prince of persia, looks dirtier (but not too dirty) and has no camera control. I still liked it. The art direction is great. The fighting should be faster, it seems slow and the slow-mo is even worse.
It could look much better with more shaders to soften the edges and enhance the lighting

Lastnight I installed a new cpu cooler into my pc. It got my idle temp down to around 35c at 2.6ghz (from 2ghz). Pretty good for no increase in noise, just surface area.
The odd fan mount is shaped perfectly for the first ram dimm to slide between the cage.
