I picked up a 205 for the reef tank today after discovering the emperor didn’t fit into the current setup. Bummer. I had been running filterless for a couple of weeks and it seemed to be doing OK but the (big) book I picked up lastnight stressed the importance of quality filtering so I figured, the (big) book would know what’s best.
The increase in current has caused me to move the frogspawn again. I hope I can find a spot for it in my tank.
I installed this version of Windows Vista on my laptop and it’s working exceptionally well. I actually like it.
Update: After having spent some time working with the new OS I can say I definitely like what they did. I don’t think I’m going to attempt running it as the primary OS on my laptop because Maegan needs it for school work (the laptop) and I don’t want to try to deal with it crashing on her at the worst possible moment.
It also doesn’t power off the LCD in my laptop all the time. In fact, more often than not it simply goes black and then does a random “burn” to white as the crystals lose current. It’s weird behavior and I doubt it’s good for the screen.
I just got out of bed to drop the kids off at the pool, so I grabbed the new copy of Marvel 1602 that I picked up lastnight. I’ve been wanting to read it for about a year, so I was looking forward to reading it this morning.
I dropped the fucking booking in the toilet somehow. It was under my arm, I’m wearing one of my insulated hoodies and somehow it slipped out from under my arm just as I approached the throne.
So lame. It’s completely ruined too, being clay paper. I literally just pissed away $30 on a comic that’s no good now.
Today it became very apparent to everyone that our very old website template will impeed future progress and revenues based on the limitations it forces on our advertising options. I wanted to say “told you so” but in the end I’m responsible for doing it because it is my job. Sigh.
Update: I found the problem with the banners not displaying, and it turned out it wasn’t our template. The javascript code in both cases is not standards compliant. BURN.
I just bought a marzocchi z1 sl off ebay and i’m hunting for an azonic fiend 16″ frame. i’m going to take the rubber, drivetrain and brakes off of my launch, the wheels, stem/bars and probably heatset off my k2 and sell the launch and super t on ebay for cheap. i should be able to get the cost of the frame back i figure.
i think i’ll build the k2 up as a strong xc bike and see if i can get the lockout on the sherman fixed. it’d be a great bike for maegan or anyone else coming for a ride.
I put a bahamut daemon on ninja (irc.attack11.com) for #yayhooray.
Ken had a really off day. Simple stuff eluded him, it was odd.
